1. Difference in element content

2. Difference in use effect

High-carbon silicon can replace ferrosilicon, but there will still be some differences in the use effect. Compared with ferrosilicon, high-carbon silicon has a slightly lower silicon content, so it is not as good as ferrosilicon in deoxidation and slag removal, but it does not affect normal use at all.


3. Difference in Price

High-carbon silicon is a new type of ferroalloy product. Compared with ferrosilicon, high-carbon silicon is cheaper. When purchasing, high-carbon silicon is often cheaper. Therefore, in the case of rising ferrosilicon prices, high-carbon silicon is a better choice for manufacturers to save costs.
