High carbon silicon is a new alloy. They are cheaper than conventional metallurgical materials but can replace the use of conventional metallurgical materials such as ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and carburising agents.

Specification:
High-carbon silicon is also known as silicon-carbon alloys, as its main components are silicon and carbon. The silicon content can reach 65% and in some cases 68%, while the carbon content is more or less 20%. High-carbon silicon is mainly used for diffusion deoxidation in carbon steel smelting. Silicon carbon alloy: 6515/6818 Size: 0-10 mm, 10-100 mm or according to customer requirements.

Properties:
Features include: excellent silicon activity, short deoxidation times, high deoxidation efficiency and ease of use, energy savings, reduced environmental pollution and improved working conditions.

Advantages.
High carbon silicon has a higher carbon content compared to iron silicon, so its use as a deoxidising agent also increases the carbon content, replacing iron silicon and carburising agents and increasing the overall efficiency of the electric arc furnace.
