(2) Ferro silicon Used as an inoculant and spheroidizer in the cast iron industry. In the production of ductile iron, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (to help precipitate graphite) and spheroidizer.

(3)Ferrosilicon is used as a reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys. Not only is the chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen large, but the carbon content of ferrosilicon with high silicon content is very low. Therefore, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or siliceous alloy) is a commonly used reducing agent in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys in the ferroalloy industry.

(4) Ferrosilicon 75 is often used in the high temperature smelting process of magnesium, replacing magnesium in CaO.MgO, each ton of magnesium will consume about 1.2 tons of ferrosilicon, which plays an important role in magnesium production.

(5)In addition, ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and as a coating for welding rods in the welding rod manufacturing industry; high-silicon ferrosilicon can be used in the electrical industry to prepare semiconductor pure silicon and in the chemical industry to manufacture silicone, etc.
