INTRODUCTION
Uses of ferro silicon 75:
（1）Deoxidiser: Ferrosilicon 75 is used as an indispensable deoxidiser for precipitation deoxidisation and diffusion deoxidisation in iron and steel making.
（2）Reducing agent: In the production of ferroalloys, ferrosilicon 75 is used as a reducing agent, and is commonly used in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys because of its strong chemical affinity for oxygen and low carbon content.
（3）Inoculant and spheroidising agent: In the iron casting industry, Ferrosilicon 75 is used as an inoculant and spheroidising agent, and in the production of ductile cast iron, Ferrosilicon 75 is an important inoculant (to help graphite precipitation) and spheroidising agent.
（4）Magnesium smelting: In the high temperature smelting process of Pijiang method of magnesium smelting, ferrosilicon 75 is used to replace magnesium in CaO.MgO, and each tonne of magnesium metal consumes about 1.2 tonnes of ferrosilicon 75, which plays an important role in the production of magnesium metal.
