Ferrosilicon 65

Ferrosilicon is a ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is an iron-silicon alloy made of coke, steel scrap, quartz(or silica) as raw materials and smelted in an electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen can be easily synthesized into silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon is often used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer, while the generation of SiO2 due to the release of a large amount of heat, in the deoxidation at the same time, the temperature of the steel is also beneficial to improve. At the same time,ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying element adding agent, widely used in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel,bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, ferrosilicon in the production of ferroalloys and chemical industry, commonly used as a reducing agent.

INTRODUCTION

Uses of Ferrosilicon 65:

(1) 65 Ferrosilicon is mainly composed of iron and silicon iron alloy, because silicon and oxygen are easily combined into silicon dioxide, so ferrosilicon is commonly used in steelmaking deoxidiser, the oxidation reaction itself is exothermic, deoxidisation and at the same time can increase the temperature of steel.

(2) 65 Ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying element additive, widely used in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel and electrical silicon steel.

(3) 65 Ferrosilicon is widely used as a reducing agent in the production of ferro-alloys and in the chemical industry.
